Hopes & Gifts
“What are you hoping to get out of this experience?” and “What’s one gift you bring to this group?”

WRITING PROMPT:
Reports from the Field
The City of Philadelphia is known as the “birthplace of Freedom” to many visitors. According to the Independence National Historical Park website, the “park represents the founding ideals of the nation, and preserves national and international symbols of freedom and democracy, including Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell. The Declaration of Independence and U.S. Constitution were both debated and signed inside Independence Hall, a UNESCO World Heritage Site”.
We had the opportunity for a private tour of components of this national historical park. Please reflect on your experience, insights, and research-related questions that may have arisen as a result of your time on the tour of the grounds.
Your blog post should be based on your personal reflection on the historical park and archival research experience.
Please post your blog entry (250-300 words) in the Google Form by noon on Friday.
